Ellen G. White, the
prophet of Seventh-day Adventism said we
would.
“Those who are
living upon the earth when the intercession
of Christ shall cease in the sanctuary above
are to stand in the sight of a holy God
without a mediator.” [The Great Controversy,
p. 425].
“When Jesus ceases to plead
for man, the cases of all are forever
decided. This is the time of reckoning with
His servants.” [Testimonies for the Church,
vol. 2, p. 191].
But what does
the Bible say?
God promises to always
be with us!
Matthew 28:20, “teaching them to observe all that I have
commanded you. And behold, I am with you
always, to the end of the age.”
Hebrews 13:5, “Keep your life free from
love of money, and be content with what you
have, for he has said, “I will never leave
you nor forsake you.”
John 14:16, “And I will ask the Father, and he will give
you another Helper, to be with you forever,”
Ephesians 4:30,
“And do not grieve
the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were
sealed for the day of redemption.”
Romans 8:34, “Who
is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who
died—more than that, who was raised—who is
at the right hand of God, who indeed is
interceding for us.”
Hebrews 7:24-25,
“but he holds his priesthood permanently,
because he continues forever. Consequently,
he is able to save to the uttermost those
who draw near to God through him, since he
always lives to make intercession for them.”
Jesus became human so that He could
represent us to God, and God to us. He is
the perfect mediator between God and man. He
came to reveal God to us in a way no prophet
ever could.
We receive eternal life at the
moment of our conversion:
There is no stronger passage in the Bible
than John 10:28-30 for the eternal security
of every true believer. Those who God saves
can never be taken away from him.
John 10:28-30
says, “I give them eternal life, and they
will never perish, and no one will snatch
them out of my hand. My Father, who has
given them to me, is greater than all, and
no one is able to snatch them out of the
Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.”
But there is more!
John 3:16,
“For God so loved the world, that
he gave his only Son, that whoever believes
in him should not perish but have eternal
life.”
John 5:24, “Truly, truly, I
say to you, whoever hears my word and
believes him who sent me has eternal life.
He does not come into judgment, but has
passed from death to life.”
John 17:3,
“And this is eternal life, that they know
you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom
you have sent.”
John 3:36, “Whoever
believes in the Son has eternal life;
whoever does not obey the Son shall not see
life, but the wrath of God remains on him.”
Romans 8:35-39, “Who shall separate us
from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation,
or distress, or persecution, or famine, or
nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is
written, “For your sake we are being killed
all the day long; we are regarded as sheep
to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things
we are more than conquerors through him who
loved us. For I am sure that neither death
nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things
present nor things to come, nor powers, nor
height nor depth, nor anything else in all
creation, will be able to separate us from
the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Deuteronomy 31:8, “It is the LORD who
goes before you. He will be with you; he
will not leave you or forsake you. Do not
fear or be dismayed.”
Ellen
G. White said we must be sinless at the time of Christ’s coming:
“Those only who through faith in Christ
obey all of God’s commandments will reach
the condition of sinlessness in which Adam
lived before his transgression. They testify
to their love of Christ by obeying all His
precepts.” [Seventh-day Adventist Bible
Commentary, Vol. 6, p. 1118].
“In
order to let Jesus into our hearts, we must
stop sinning.” [Signs of the Times, March 3,
1898].
“To be redeemed means to cease
from sin.” [Review & Herald, September 25,
1900].
But listen to what the Bible says.
1 John 1:8-10, “If we say we have no sin, we deceive
ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we
confess our sins, he is faithful and just to
forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from
all unrighteousness. If we say we have not
sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is
not in us.”
We are declared
to be perfect in Christ Jesus because of what He
has done for us, not because we are without sin
in our lives:
Romans 3:23-26, “for all have sinned and
fall short of the glory of God, and are
justified by his grace as a gift, through
the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom
God put forward as a propitiation by his
blood, to be received by faith. This was to
show God’s righteousness, because in his
divine forbearance he had passed over former
sins. It was to show his righteousness at
the present time, so that he might be just
and the justifier of the one who has faith
in Jesus.”
1 John 2:12, “I am writing to you,
little children, because your sins are
forgiven for his name’s sake.”
Isaiah 43:25,
“I, I am he who blots out your
transgressions for my own sake, and I will
not remember your sins.”
Isaiah 44:22,
“I have blotted out your transgressions
like a cloud and your sins like mist; return
to me, for I have redeemed you.”
Acts 13:38-39,
“Let it be known to you
therefore, brothers, that through this man
forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you,
and by him everyone who believes is freed
from everything from which you could not be
freed by the law of Moses.”
Hebrews 9:26,
“for then he would have had to
suffer repeatedly since the foundation of
the world. But as it is, he has appeared
once for all at the end of the ages to put
away sin by the sacrifice of himself.”
Hebrews 10:1, “For since the law has but
a shadow of the good things to come instead
of the true form of these realities, it can
never, by the same sacrifices that are
continually offered every year, make perfect
those who draw near.”
Hebrews 10:14, “For by a single
offering he has perfected for all time those
who are being sanctified.”
2 Corinthians 12:9,
“But he said to me, “My
grace is sufficient for you, for my power is
made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will
boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses,
so that the power of Christ may rest upon
me.”
1 John 4:12, 18, “No one has
ever seen God; if we love one another, God
abides in us and his love is perfected in
us. . . There is no fear in love, but
perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to
do with punishment, and whoever fears has
not been perfected in love.”
Ephesians 2:8-9, “For by grace you
have been saved through faith. And this is
not your own doing; it is the gift of God,
not a result of works, so that no one may
boast.”
Ephesians 1:4, “Even as he
chose us in him before the foundation of the
world, that we should be holy and blameless
before him. In love.”
Whoever
accepts Jesus Christ as their Lord and
Savior has (present tense), eternal life:
John 3:16, “For God so loved the
world that he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him shall not
perish but have eternal life.”
John 3:36, “Whoever
believes in the Son has eternal life, but
whoever rejects the Son will not see life,
for God’s wrath remains on them.”
John 5:24, “Truly, truly, I say to you,
whoever hears my word and believes him who
sent me has eternal life. He does not come
into judgment, but has passed from death to
life.”
John 17:3, “Now this is eternal life: that they
know you, the only true God, and Jesus
Christ, whom you have sent.”
1 John 5:11,
“And this is the testimony: God has given us
eternal life, and this life is in his Son.”
1 John 5:13, “I write these
things to you who believe in the name of the
Son of God so that you may know that you
have eternal life.”
Romans 6:23, “For the wages of sin is death, but
the gift of God is eternal life in Christ
Jesus our Lord.”
Was Ellen White a prophet of God? True
prophets cannot have falsehoods in their
visions and they cannot contradict the Word
of God!
Jeremiah 23:32, “Behold, I am against
those who prophesy lying dreams, declares
the LORD, and who tell them and lead my
people astray by their lies and their
recklessness, when I did not send them or
charge them. So they do not profit this
people at all, declares the LORD.”
Isaiah 8:20, “To the teaching and to the testimony! If they
will not speak according to this word, it is
because they have no dawn.”
We need to heed Christ’s warning:
Matthew 7:15-16 says, “Beware of false
prophets, who come to you in sheep’s
clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
You will recognize them by their fruits.
Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or
figs from thistles?”
When a prophet contradicts what the
Bible clearly says they prove they are nothing more
than a false prophet.
The
Bible says God gave some as prophets to
encourage and build up the church.
1 Corinthians 14:3 says, “On the other hand,
the one who prophesies speaks to people for
their upbuilding and encouragement and
consolation.”
Yet, Ellen G. White
and the Seventh-day Adventist Church
contradict the scriptures and use fear and
intimidation to keep their members in line.
All the evidence proves Ellen G. White was a
false prophet who contradicted the Bible in
many places, plagiarized the words of other
authors, and then lied about where she got
those words, disregarding what Jeremiah 23:30 says.
She made well-documented false prophecies and then
lied and said God showed her
those things in vision. When the Seventh-day
Adventist Church promotes her they are
telling people to believe in a liar, and a
fraud; a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
Do you
really want to stay in a church that basis
its beliefs on the writings of a false
prophet? Revelation 18:4 says, “Come out of
her, my people,’ so that you will not share
in her sins, so that you will not receive
any of her plagues;”
You can
trust God’s word and know that you have eternal life, right here and right now.
If you still fear losing
your salvation try to remember what the
gospel actually says, “For God so loved the
world that he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him shall not
perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16 NIV)
